Treat your home to this striking noren. Traditionally, norens were used as doorway dividers on the doorway of restaurants or shops to welcome patrons inside and also used to prevent dust, sunlight and wind from coming inside. Today, norens are used for many areas of the home such as doorways, windows, and wall decors. This noren illustrates a famous painting by Hokusai titled "The Great Wave Off Kanawaga." The vibrant blue colors give it a contemporary flair. Deep blue hues surround the border with multi-colored waves at the core. In front of the tan shaded sky is an off white color wave detailed with vertical rays of dark and light blue. The droplets falling from the waves are an off white color also. Neatly packaged in a plastic bag, this noren is 55% cotton and 45% rayon and is made in Japan. Dry clean recommended.
