A dark lined crackled design also decorates the center of the plate that gives the illusion of a mosaic painting of an ocean shore. The rim and underside of the plate also has these shoreline earthen colors of brown and pale blue green but doesn’t have the crackled appearance. The bottom of the Japanese sushi plate also shows the natural and unglazed white ceramic it was made from.
