Each piece in this set of four Asian nesting bowls features a mottled black glazed surface. With thick walls and a smooth rounded shape, the appearance of these unique bowls is reminiscent of volcanic stones weathered smooth by the waves at Ibusuki Beach. At the bottom of each bowl's interior is a white seafoam-inspired design.

These genuine Japanese serving bowls are made of long-lasting dishwasher and microwave safe ceramicware. With an 8-inch diameter and a capacity of 36 fluid ounces, they are suitable for individual poke bowls, as well as salads or pasta dishes. The interior surface is smooth, but the ribbed texture helps to corral those last stray bits at the bottom of the bowl.
